Of Spring Spheres and Spring Snowballs - Page 2
Jews are in the midst of celebrating Passover. Oh, that holiday offends me so much, I think you need to call it "The Immunization of the Israelites"! And I don't like the food you eat, you must now call your Matzoh balls "Spring Snowballs"!
The point is, are we Christians, Jews, Atheists, Muslims, Buddists, etc. really THAT offended in Easter eggs and Matzoh balls? Isn't America the place where you are SUPPOSED to be allowed to call an Easter egg an Easter egg or Passover...Passover? Why are we burying our country's diversity that makes us different from any other country? Instead of preaching "tolerance" (and I really hate that word but let's just go with it for now) aren't we really sending a message of intolerance?
Personally I don't have time to worry about people celebrating Ramadan or worshipping Ganesha, to really delve into it and see if I might possibly find something offensive or something that may scar my child for life.
And so if you are Christian, I wish you a Happy Easter, if you are Jewish, I wish you a Happy Passover, if you are Pagan, I hope your Ostara is going great. And if you celebrate none of these holidays, I simply wish you a good day.
