He looks so good in a suit
In an effort to be a better person in 2010, one of the action items I have on my resolution list is reflecting on what I am grateful for. I know, it is very Oprah-ish and I am clearly late for the gratitude movement party. Don't judge. I'm doing my best here people.
One of my gratitude exercises involved looking at my husband and all the ways he is good for me. I am sure I don't do this often enough, but even when I do look at the reasons why I love him I usually default to his character. After all, as much as he may drive me nuts on a daily basis, he is a pretty amazing man. So of course I started the list with things like, he is kind and open minded and considerate. Then a funny thing happened. I found myself thinking about the way he looks in a suit. It was so unexpected and subconscious and truthfully, kind of fun. So, I went with it. I just started listing all the things I love about the way he looks. For example, he is very tall. Not only do I consider this an attractive quality, but for a woman who fluctuates 20 pounds up and down the scale at any given time, it can come in quite handy for feeling good about myself. He will always be "bigger" than me-even if I might be wider than he. He also smells good, when he doesn't- well, you know- smell. He also has beautiful big brown eyes, which I used to look into a lot but now I usually see, at the end of a long day, behind closed lids. And did I mention the way he looks in a suit? Oh, I did? Sorry.Continued on the next page
