MTV/AP Poll: Majority of Kids Experience Abuse Online - Page 2
The poll did show that many teens are aware of ways to get the unwanted online behavior to stop, but there was a strong perception that avoidant behaviors were most effective. Eighty percent felt that changing online passwords was effective, just over two-thirds felt that changing an e-mail address, screen name, or cell phone number would stop abusive behavior, and 59 percent mentioned deleting a profile altogether. Less than half (47 percent) recommended asking the offender to stop the unwanted behavior.
