Facebook Needs You
Here we go again. Let's go Facebook, Lets Go!!
On the Facebook Site Governance Page, they (Facebook) came up with some simple criteria:
1. First, it should be easy to understand, even when the concepts are complicated, or it is of no use to anyone.
2. Second, it should be visual and interactive, because that's the way people use the web today.
3. And third, it should focus on the questions people who use Facebook are most likely to ask, because that makes it relevant."
This is not the first time Facebook has admitted that its policies are convoluted. In May of 2010, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stated that Facebook was launching a streamlined user interface that allowed the user a new set of controls to manage their (the users') own private information and how it would be shared with the world.
It seems that those "controls" did not go far enough, apparently just confusing users even further. Hopefully this new attempt at simplification will allow users of the world's largest and most active social networking site to feel safer and control their privacy in an easier-to-understand format.
