Aretha Franklin Has Been Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer
Today, reports about Aretha Franklin have been buzzing on the airwaves, Twitter and Facebook. Apparently, Aretha Franklin has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She has been quiet about the nature of the illness that prompted her to cancel all upcoming events and undergo surgery last week.
On behalf of the Queen of Soul, the following statement was released. "God is still in control. I had superb doctors and nurses whom were blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country."
In January 2009, Aretha performed at the inauguration of U.S. President Barack Obama. The legendary singer of 1960s had enormous hits like "Chain of Fools" and "Respect" and has continued an extremely busy schedule of recording and touring until late October 2010.
