You Need to Get off Facebook
You need to get off Facebook. That is the less than subtle message presented in this excellent video filmed in a busy South Korean marketplace. English teacher Ross Gardiner, who is more than 5 months clean of the addiction of Facebook, presents some pretty compelling points about how the popular social media website is affecting our lives.
Who are our real friends? Why do we insist on talking like we type in instant message boxes? Why do we accept friend requests from people we didn't like then? These questions are posed in simplicity, written on poster board, often blowing in the breeze. I'm still thinking about the video, and wondering how accurate his thoughts are for a lot of us social media whores. Ironically, I'm going to share this on Facebook now.
