The Social Network Gets Unnecessarily Dramatic Trailer
David Fincher's Facebook flick, The Social Network, got its first official trailer. A teaser, really, since we don't get any actual footage from the film. Frankly, the whole thing is played wayyyy too straight and dramatic for my tastes. Yeah, we get it. Mark Zuckerberg is an evil genius, emphasis on the evil. Do I have to watch the movie now?
Seriously, for a movie about a social networking site, you'd think we were about to see a movie about, oh, I don't know, something actually serious and important? I find it really hard (impossibly, even!) to get through this whole thing with a straight face. Not that I'm saying Facebook isn't important. Certainly not. Please don't delete my account, Mr. Zuckerberg.
