Windows Live Update Coming
Microsoft has announced some details of the next major update of Windows Live, which they're calling Wave 4. Not to confuse it with Google Wave or anything.
Apparently, they've had thousands of workers within the company running the builds for months, and will be rolling out updates to a small group of external testers soon.
Following that, rollout will begin to its web services, then finally betas will release for Windows PCs, Macs and mobile platforms.
Ars Technica reported that the first leaked versions of Wave 4 didn't support XP, and Microsoft has now confirmed that XP is not supported in the upcoming update. Although still commanding a healthy market share, XP users are at last starting to decline steadily, now that Windows 7 has been released and at last offers a robust upgrade opportunity.
