A Bug In Google AdWords Keyword Tool
Google acknowledges a bug in the AdWords. There are a few terms that display a zero search volume.
The SEO Consultant’s blog showed this and some comments also stated that they saw similar results. It’s random and no one has an exact list of keywords that are affected.
This however affects only the “exact match” search. The Google AdWords forums also discusses this issue.
There isn’t any particular scenario in which this is seen. Random keywords report zero results. And this affects both local volumes and Global Volumes. There are some users who have even tried changing the location.
So, it’s not that a particular location works fine or some country(s) are affected. Well, there isn’t any certainty on which types of keywords are affected too – like long tail or short ones etc...
So, if you are in between analyzing keywords and find such funny behavior in AdWords, don’t panic. It’s the AdWords that’s not right.
Well, even with so many uncertainties, Google acknowledges it and are working towards fixing it.
