HP Tablet Dropping Prices to Catch up with the Rest
For only a short period of time, HP is offering a $100 rebate on its tablet, both on the 16GB and 32GB versions according to reports from the Apple Insider. The pricing strategy is short termed because as HP high management has acknowledged, they do not represent a threat to Apple's throned position in the tablet universe.
Nevertheless, the HP team is extremely proud of its WebOS despite media criticism. Also included on the Apple Insider's report, Jon Rubinstein is trying to encourage employees by comparing their situation to a very young Apple, when it was heavily criticized by "experts."
The iPad continues to dominate the market, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. More so after Samsung's Galaxy tablet was just prevented from entering the Australian shelves.
The HP tablet however is simply trying to show the world that they are too a fine option for customers to purchase. The WebOS platform found in the device has special features like the "touch-to-share" where you need only approach a similar device to share media, documents or whatever you wish. It even comes handy when trying to set it up with Amazon's Kindle.
Good thing HP's high management is being realistic about not wanting to dethrone Apple. Let's see what their weekend rebate brings to their table.
