Apple Hits Television Hard With New iPhone 4S Siri Ads
You've probably seen the ads by now, since Apple started a massive ad campaign, showing off Siri on the iPhone 4S. We've also probably seen way too many 'Siri questions' headlines, which is why this article doesn't play that card.
Siri is definitely a revolutionary way for humans to communicate with technology. There's no question about that. After watching the advertisements for Siri and the iPhone 4S however, I asked myself, "Self, would I actually ask my iPhone 4S to tell me how to tie a bow-tie knot, when I'm surrounded by people?" The answer for me is 'No', but for the general population, would be 'Yes'. Siri has huge potential, not only for an assistant app, but for any communication between a machine and humans, on any type of device. I only hope that I don't see someone asking their iPhone 4S for the weather update, seeing as there's already a couple hundred iOS apps that will do that for you on the fly, faster than you can ask the question to begin with.
And we thought the world changed when texting got popular...for better or worse, Siri is here. Check out the Apple Siri ad below, followed by a satirical (we hope) look at how Siri can't buy me love.
