Previewing ESC 2010 Silicon Valley
In late April, technology companies, software engineers, entrepreneurs, and vendors will descend on San Jose for the Embedded Systems Conference, ESC Silicon Valley 2010. Attendees will be discussing the latest innovations in software engineering, and learning new techniques. The slogan for ESC Silicon Valley 2010 is “Learn Today, Design Tomorrow.”
One of the highlights of the ESC Silicon Valley conference occurs on April 27th, when the 6th Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) awards will be presented. These awards honor leading company and individual achievement, leadership, and innovation in electronic technologies.
The awards are comprised of thirteen categories including innovator of the year, most promising new technology, and most promising renewable energy award. Since its inception five years ago, EE Times has received nearly 2,500 applications for the contest.
Another highlight of the upcoming conference is the BYOES, Build Your Own Embedded System. For a fee of $299 plus the registration cost of the conference, participants will receive all of the tools, components, and training they need to build an embedded system. What could someone who is attending an embedded systems conference prefer to do?
Interestingly, a media group, EE Times Group, a division of United Business Media, is the organizer of ESC Silicon Valley and other trade shows. EE Times Group is the leading global provider of media and marketing services for the electronics industry. They match engineers with the gizmos they need, and provide the training to use those gizmos at their conferences. Over the next year, EE Times Group will also sponsor ESC events in Chicago, India, Boston, and Great Briton.
