Let the Companies Fight For Us!
Me got to a devilish idea tonight. Me got to a conclusion that wars are good sometimes. Thats right! Have you ever thought of how valuable the petty fights between the biggest of companies are?! You might not be getting to hold those pretty cool technologies if it were not for these wars!
Backstabbing and squashing competition has always been a part of the human psychology. Believe it or not, it makes a lot of sense. And money. And technologies.
What would be there if Bill Gates and company hadn't withdrawn from the 'unproductive' IBM OS/2? Of course, we will not be using the present Windows. Thank God, Bill fought with IBM!! Competition is a very important word in the technology environment. Companies trying to gain a step ahead of their competitors actually is good for us-the users.
So if Apple and Google are in an oath to bring the other down, that's good news for me. Because I don't have to stick with any particular one of them and I have my choices on the table.
The Microsoft story:
Microsoft has been on top of the PC market from the birth of PC. Well, you can stretch it back some years too. Now that we see Apple and Google as direct competitors, we have actually got better products.
If the slight failure of the Microsoft Vista wasn't there to happen and archrivals Apple taking advantage of it to introduce the newer iOS, I don't think we would be using this innovative operating system. And if it was not for the iOS making a dent in the market share of Microsoft, we won't be seeing the Windows 7 OS so fast!

Same goes with Windows Phone 7. The mighty frustrating and unresponsive Windows Mobile 6.5 was a long overdue. And if it was not for the massive response to the Apple iPhone, we won't be seeing the Windows Phone 7! Microsoft is so lazy with their upgrades that you begin wondering if the company is as slow as its Vista!
