Bank of America Website Not Responding for Users
The Twitterverse was buzzing this morning with loads of users complaining that they couldn't log into the Bank of America accounts.
As of 10:40am EST, there hasn't been an official announcement by the company as to the problem, but some are speculating that it's "Anonymous," i.e. the gang of pro WikiLeaks hackers launching a Denial of Service attack.
"Wondering if Bank of America is getting DOS attacks from pro WikiLeaks hackers "Anonymous" again? Whatever it is... needs to end. Now" - @DylanWest
Another Twitter user, @MissNitaT had the same experience, Tweeting, "so why is bofa effing up this morning. No alerts, not able to login?!? is it just me?"
A search of "BofA" on Twitter brings up a slew of other results from Twitter users complaining about the same thing.
There appears to be no official word from the company either.
Stay tuned for updates to this post as this story develops.

10:56 am EST: BofA acknowledges the outage and is responding to their customers via Twitter.
In an interview with The Sacramento Business Journal, BofA spokeswoman Tara Burke said the problems began for the bank’s website at 4 a.m. PST. Burke said some customers can’t log in to their accounts, while others face delays on BankofAmerica.com. “It’s sporadic,” Burke said. “The majority of our customers can still bank online.”
