Nexus One On Sprint 3G Network
On the heel of yesterday’s announcement from Google that AT&T and Rogers Wireless are offering Nexus One phones on their networks, there is news of Sprint joining them and including it on their 3G Mobile Broadband Network. As with AT&T and Rogers, Nexus One will only be available for purchase directly from Google’s Web store.
There is no mention of when this option will be available to consumers, or what the pricing will be. The Nexus One will join the Samsung Moment and the HTC Hero devices to expand Sprint’s Android choices.
T-Mobile has supported this phone on its 3G network since January 2010 and there is mention of Verizon supporting the Nexus One on its 3G network sometime this spring. Vodafone is also mentioned for the same time frame.
Google’s role is constantly expanding from search engine giant to incorporate other facets of the ever changing technology arena. These recent announcements only strengthened its contributions to technology. Google’s Nexus One is giving consumers more mobile options without being tied to a particular carrier simply because of their choice of phones.
