Amazon Appstore for Android Taken Away Outside U.S. After One Day

Well, we knew it was too good to be true; after all of us Android users outside the U.S. finally got a taste of the Amazon Appstore for Android yesterday as it became available.  It was announced yesterday that the Amazon App, which after installed on your mobile device links you to the Amazon Appstore for Android, where you can enjoy a new featured free app every day, has been taken from anyone outside the U.S. today. A brief 24 hours after it was available.

I went so far yesterday as to sign up for the app, a process which stopped you at Amazon.com itself if you were outside the U.S, got the sign up and download email from Amazon, installed the app on my Android smartphone, registered for "1-click" payment settings as required to use the Amazon Appstore, and even got the free app of the day. Today, I went to the Amazon store to get the new app of the day, and I got what you see from my screenshots here... FAIL!

Hopefully Amazon recognizes this is going to leave a sore spot for a few users, and rectifies it quickly by fixing whatever legalities they need to in order to get it launched and available again outside the U.S. I guess we'll just have to be a little patient, even though we were cruelly teased.
