Microsoft Corp. said late Monday (May 5, 2008) they will sell TV shows, including series from NBC on the Zune Marketplace. This move should catapult Zune that much closer to what Apple Inc.’s iTunes offers for the iPod. You can expect software updates that add the new features to the Zune devices and PC software used to buy and manage digital content.

About a week ago, Microsoft released Zune 2.5, the latest update for the Zune media management software.  Apparently this software update adds in some functionality that was previously removed (smart playlists) and adds quite a bit of new functions.

Microsoft finally upgrade Zune devices firmware to Zune 2.5 version.
