The average mom, according to a recent poll, has a "work day" of 15 hours, 5.5 of it working at their job and the rest spent grocery shopping, cooking, doing household chores, shuttling kids to school and activities, and caring for their children.

The Scale Lies

Because I'm really tired of being in pain dontchaknow. I'm lucky enough to have a couple of exercise buddies ~ my Mom goes with me, as does my son (who can do 4.5 miles on a bike without breaking a sweat - imagine that).

Well...that isn't going to be the case for our family. For us, it is kind of the opposite situation. This summer, the kids have been home all summer long.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m mostly angst-free about my parenting choices. While I sometimes wish I could have stayed home to raise my daughter, I have enjoyed being a working mom.
