Ok ok, it is easy and I do really admire Apple's product most of the time... but come on, sometimes I hate when apple fans... become... fanatics... This is another drawing from the excellent Hugh MacLeod from Gapinvoid

Relatively few people have time and skill to sit down and hand code a community-based website. Even less actually want to. Webjam is a service that simplifies that process greatly. However, there are plenty of others of those out there like the well-funded Ning and Soceeo.

Technology is cool and so is capitalism. Apple's software is so sweet and clever that people love it. Including me. iPhone is a beauty both in fit and finish, and functionality. There's a fine line between fair competition and monopoly. Ask Bill Gates. If you want totally FOSS, go for it.

TECH CRUNCH -- July 10 -- London-based Ning-competitor Webjam has secured a further $1.9 million (1.2M Euros) in funding led by initial investor I-Source. The A round extension won't match Ning's millions, but it will see Webjam execute some new functions, including allowing organisations to create branded online communities (the so-called B2B2C market).
