http://www.memescout.com/ blog/ ?p=3Edwarde Tufte discusses sparklines (”intense, simple, word-size graphics”) in his excellent book Beautiful Evidence and advocates their use in as many places as possible. I agree with this completely - many publications, especially those of a financial nature, could benefit from the inclusion of sparklines.
