Celebration Day III
http://professorofpop.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ celebration-day-iii.htmlCelebration Day III Congratulations to my colleague David Silver, who this afternoon was tricked into attending an event (the college service awards) under the pretext that someone else was getting an award. Professor Robertson has captured the moment at which Silver realized that he was in fact the recipient & it is priceless.

Not even a week ago, the RIAA announced that CD shipments are down 17.5% but digital is now 23% of total revenue.

Online Music Storage now Illegal?
http://www.rockerreport.com/ online_music_storage_now_illegalSeems like a pretty silly thing to me: why EMI thinks that online storage of music files is a problem. The funny thing is that they go after little mp3tunes.com. Sure Michael Robertson continually pokes the labels, that is a good reason for them. It certainly isn’t the money, the service is hardly thriving.
