I am going to admit I have been guilty of skimming books. I read, I read A LOT. When I was about 11 years old I remember that infomercial sweater guy had a speed reading course on his amazing discovery “show” and I wanted it so bad. Needless to say I didn’t get it, but I did learn to read pretty fast anyway.
