More end of season thoughts
http://thesacrificebunt.com/ 532/ more-end-of-season-thoughts/Unlike Melvin, I kind of like drama. Spice of life kind of thing. And for me, this season has been filled with intrigue. It hasn’t been fun, but there’s been a lot to talk about. For instance: Genuine draft: The Padres will have the third pick in next year’s draft, which will probably be too late to grab Strasburg, but still very high.

Trade Deadline Recap: Phils Look Strikingly Similar
http://www.hotstovephilly.com/ 2008/ 07/ 31/ trade-deadline-recap-phils-look-str…Another Trade Deadline has come and gone, and once again the front office has decided, for the most part, that the status quo is good enough. Good enough for what? We shall see. This is no surprise for many of us, as we are used to rumors abounding in July, only to find our Phillies only marginally better (or worse) than we were before.

Jail this reporter, save the First Amendment
http://minimediaguy.org/ 2008/ 07/ 28/ jail-this-reporter-save-the-first-amendme…It’s time for William Gertz, a member of the Washington, D.C., press corps, to make a small personal sacrifice to improve the ethics of newspaper journalism. http://mlb.fanhouse.com/ 2008/ 07/ 18/ buy-or-sell-san-diego-padres/Filed under: Padres, NL West, MLB Biz, MLB RumorsThe question as to whether the San Diego Padres need to make trades is not so much a "yes or no" thing as it is a "why the hell hasn't Kevin Towers gotten started yet?" kind of thing. San Diego needs a lot of stuff, although mainly offense.

California Mix-Tape
http://thefourohfive.com/ 2008/ 07/ 16/ california-mix-tape/Yesterday I went on a fantastic trip to the beach, I have the sun burn to prove it, so I felt like making a mix-tape in honor of that. I wanted to create a mix-tape not just about the beach, but one for California in general, as its summer time and the beach is definitely the thing to do right now in California.
