A Scientist Responds to Emory’s Nemeroff

    http://www.margaretsoltan.com/ ?p=4715

I’m really exercised over this guy because he makes us look bad. First and foremost he made any scientist that has anything to do with helping private companies develop therapies look bad. High profile cases like these stick in the public mind and create a suspicion that we are all just faking up opinions (and perhaps even our data) to keep our paymasters in BigPharma happy.

Filed under: News, Industry, OpEd, Reality-Free If you're like me, the first thing that you do after you wipe those crusty things out of your eyes is turn on CNBC, Fox Business Network or Bloomberg to see how much more the economy is in a tailspin. Sometimes you watch to see how far oil has fallen.

    http://incaseofemergencyblog.com/ 2008/ 10/ 07/ as-national-preparedness-month-e…

With the fifth-annual National Preparedness Month now over, I wanted to point out an encouraging statistic regarding corporate and non-profit interest in citizen preparedness both on a national and community level.  The Department of Homeland Security’s public preparedness efforts have received a good deal of criticism over the past few years.
