19-year-old mayor of Oklahoma town is a gaming enthusiast
Filed under: Culture, Politics University of Oklahoma freshman John Tyler Hammons harbors the stereotypical interests of a 19-year-old college student -- an Associated Press report, apparently written by a 1950's schoolteacher, credits Hammons as enjoying "fast cars and rock n' roll".

The emperor has designer clothes
http://www.experientia.com/ blog/ the-emperor-has-designer-clothes/Niti Bhan is up in arms about Alice Rawsthorn laudatory article on the design of the One Laptop Per Child, published in the International Herald Tribune: “What is the purpose of good design if there is no one who can use it? i couldn't agree more
http://betblue.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ i-couldnt-agree-more.html"Euphemisms only perpetuate the myth that we're somehow past the ugly, naked truth. And the results from Tuesday's primary - where many poor, uneducated, white folks voted for the millionaire white woman because they saw no viable alternative - prove we are buried deeper in the racist muck than anyone in the media cares - or dares - to admit.

Pinhole Camera Photographer is Crazed Cyclist
http://www.treehugger.com/ files/ 2008/ 05/ pinhole-camera-photograper_.phpWhile visiting the Union Square farmers' market I noticed an interesting display of small photographs, set up in front of an odd looking bicycle. God made man in the image of himself… male and female he created them
http://catholicwriter.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 18/ god-made-man-in-the-image-of-…In the first chapter of the first book of the Bible, God made man in the image of himself… male and female he created them. And God blessed them, saying to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and conquer it.” (Gen 1:27) That’s the very first commandment that God gives to man.

Day two of the Philadelphia Book Fest
http://blogs.phillyburbs.com/ blog_index.php/ ?p=29823I had a really great time yesterday at the Philadelphia Book Festival.
