Well, it’s official: Production has begun on a Ghostbusters Threequel, precise title as yet unknown. Columbia pictures has put Office Co-Executive Producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky to the task of writing the latest installment, almost 25 years after the original hit the theaters.

ABC has picked up three new dramas and two new comedies for its 2008-09 season, as announced by ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson Wednesday, including the comedy Single with Parents starring Alyssa Milano (Charmed) as a single woman in her 30s determined to have her own life despite her divorced parents, played by Annie Potts and Beau Bridges.

For the fall season, ABC greenlighted only a handful of new shows: the drama Life on Mars [based on the British, series of the same name]; comedies Scrubs [moving from NBC] and The Goode Family; and two alternative [reality] shows, the Untitlted Ashton Kutcher/Tyra Banks and Opportunity Knocks.

Justin Hartwig was named the Steelers’ opening-day starting center in a move that probably only surprised Sean Mahan’s grandmother. Cut day. I wouldn't know anything about it since I've never played football nor have I ever been cut from any type of organized sports team (unless Extreme Shuffleboard counts). But I often wonder what it must be like when a guy gets cut in preseason.
