Miss Sparks will appear in a nationwide advertising campaign targeted at college campuses and in the brand’s catalog.

A few weeks ago I went to the Chapel where Lauren Winner spoke.  She has written Real Sex: The Naked Truth About Chastity and Girl Meets God.  I just noticed she had a book coming out today too! Mudhouse Sabbath: An Invitation to a Life of Spiritual Disciplines.  Now that I’ve fully publicized her books (which I haven’t read, but want to), we can move on to the actual talk.

Since couple of folks have already emailed inquiring about the brief note I had in an earlier entry, here’s more specific information so you can plan ahead. Quest is very excited to host a “learning conference” with Lauren Winner on October 10-11, 2008.  The previous two learning conferences we hosted were with Tony Campolo and John Perkins.

As I’ve confessed before, I have this weird “thing” where my preference is to read mostly dead folks. So, I can devour C.S. Lewis, Augustine, Nouwen, St. Teresa of Avila, Martin Luther King Jr., Lesslie Newbigin, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, etc.

When I was younger and more religious, when I was trying harder to know and be known by the divine, to follow the Lord, to nurture my relationship with him through the confession of my sins, I worried a lot about sexual sin. Most of the time I didn't think too much about it.

I am going to finish off my series of old entry re-posts with one of my more popular strings of entries, seven in all. I have a pretty new audience reading my blog now, so many of you probably didn't see these originally. Feel free to comment away, the comments got pretty interesting last time.
