Web Typography is one of the topics I really care about and I think it’s an issue that iswas a bit overlooked in our local community.

Recently a journalist from one of the big press agencies was embedded with Zemanta while he tried to find out if Slovenia might be brewing new wave of web companies to take over the world.

Commentators and opinon makers are saying that in 3 to 5 years from now it will just be Microsoft or Google and that Yahoo will go the way of AOL   - carved up and divided into tiny composite pieces.

This is the first Wikipedia article about Zemanta that we know of (thank you Dasilvaorg whoever you are!) Zemanta only supports English language for now, but people tend not to care about that too much.

Last week I was on Technorati looking up some Top 100 blogs and for a change noticed on 10th place I Can Has CheezBurger. At fist I thought who would come up with such domain name yet is 10th on popular 100 technorati.

Zemanta is a FireFox add on which automatically suggests pictures, related articles, links, and tags for you to use when writing a blog post. Zemanta works by analyzing the words in your post using a combination of natural language processing and semantic algorithms to come up matches that directly relate to your content.

Image via WikipediaDear Friends, Please forgive me for not posting much of late. As you may have noticed there was some overlays on my blog that made reading most challenging. But after several weeks of fiddling I finally gave up and asked the good people at Zemanta and Google Blogger Help Group for help.

Photo by Mr. McGladdery The original series of Star Trek (or Star Trek: TOS has fandom has renamed it) launched on NBC on September 8th 1966, that’s 40 years ago this Friday. The show, which ran for a mere three seasons finished its run on June 3rd 1969 and has been in re-runs almost ever since.

That’s right, I’m having a ME day. I have one at camp, one at school, one at kindy (preschool) and one who knows where (um…that’s Farmboy in case anyone is worried that I’ve lost a child somewhere along the way ). Usually Friday is my “guilt free” day. Not that any day should *really* be a “feel guilty” day.
