DO-X Seaplane Airliner Wood Model Airplane   This beautiful handmade authentic DO-X Seaplane Airliner Wood Model Airplane is made entirely by hand, from the hand crafting of the fuselage, wings and tail section - to the sanding of the aircraft’s contours.

These are real blocks like we used to have when we were kids. These PBK Blocks (by Pottery Barn Kids) are big and smooth and feature graphic art and oversized letters. Each 2.25″ sq block has two letters, two words and two colorful pictures.

The planes were parked on USS Hornet’s flight deck in the order they were to leave. There was no room to rearrange them, and their long, non-folding wings made it impossible to send them below.  During the two week’s outward passage, planes received regular maintenance and engine testing to ensure they would be ready.
