There is the commercial sized wine cellar often found in a restaurant or wine dealer and there is the home wine cellar often built by the wine lover or wine enthusiast to store their personal wine collection.

Last week’s Pinotage tasting was certainly the liveliest Wine Magazine Public Tasting I have been to, and so was very enjoyable for that reason. However the experience left a bad taste in my mouth – thanks to some confusion over the role of wine critics and their support for the South African wine industry and the wine drinking public.

Back to my review of local wines and this week I’ve been blessed in tasting the wines from KWV Emporium. Enjoy: KWV Chardonnay Reserve 2007 Very palatable style of wine. The grapes are from coastal origin and were harvested at optimal ripeness (of course!).
