Al Swearengen: They butt into other people’s business; and make the business of other’s their own - these bought-out, no good cocksuckers.  Tom Mason: Nestle, you talkin’ bout? Al Swearengen: Oh, fuckin’ big shots they are.  Persimon Phil: Big fuckin’ shots, when they’re standing in front of you.

    List of Ichiro's Malts

    http://nonjatta.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ list-of-ichiros-malts.html

#fullpost{display:inline;}The Ichiro's Malt brand's rather cunning modus operandi is to release and market a wide range of individually branded but very limited bottlings. You could call it the "Pokemon" card approach to whisky selling.

Glenmorangie Astar in, Ardbeg Renaissance out

    http://blog.maltadvocate.com/ 2008/ 09/ 02/ glenmorangie-astar-in-ardbeg-renaiss…

This posting is mainly for my U.S. audience. As it often goes with whisky and distribution, I was informed from my Moet contact that the new Glenmorangie Astar will be coming to the U.S. sometime in 2009 (no firm date set yet), but that the new Ardbeg Renaissance will not be imported to the U.S.

The Drum Major  who won the Mace Over the Bar competition at Argyll’s Cowal Gathering - and the gallon of whisky that went with it was… Brian Wilson, of Lomond and Clyde Pipe Band. The Most Entertaining Band was George Watson College’s Novice Juvenile Pipe Band. No whisky there, then.

The post where I need to make friends with Helen Bonham-Carter.

    http://insearchofadam.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ post-where-i-need-to-make-friends-…

Last night, whilst missing whisky, I decided that Helen Bonham-Carter would be the ideal actress to play Ana in Black Boxes. And Tilly [a resentful house ghost] in Like bees to honey. Ana/Tilly/CarolineThen I decided that I would need to have Johnny Depp as Jesus, Juliette Binoche as the main character Nina and Robson Green as Martin the psychic within Like bees to honey.

the milford distillery was established 30 years ago, but alas shut down (i don't remember when). the remaining casks were sold to the NZ Single Malt Whisky company, who continued to age them and right now in my hand, a glass of Milford 18 year old.. it's smooth - definitely smells and tastes buttery.

    http://forargyll.com/ 2008/ 09/ distiller-of-the-year-reports-2007-loss-after-ex…

Isle of Arran Distillers, 2007 Scottish Distiller of the Year, has reported an annual loss for that same year of £157,000. The Directors’ report show that this is due, in part, to an increase in interest charges of £48.000 following the company’s investment in new mill and warehousing facilities.

microsoft teched adventure - day 3 (monday)

    http://www.coffee.geek.nz/ content/ 080902/ microsoft-teched-adventure-day-3-mon…

keynote this morning was preceded by politicians.. first John Keys (who recieved a loud applause) and then David Cunliffe (who recieve a polite applause).. both promised broadband, though national promised faster porn too. It struck me that Keys understands business really well, while Cunliffe understands tech remarkably well.
