Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!

You know...this may be the first year that we've not had our Christmas tree up in our living room, or in our house intact for that matter. We use a fake tree (we once tried a real tree...I for one am not a fan at all) and we just havn't had time to put it up, with all of our busy schedules and the like.

I'm sitting here watching Christmas movies to try to catch the Holiday Spirit before five consecutive pressure-packed services grinds it clean out of me (last year was particularly unpleasant). I do love Christmas, so I'm always hopeful about a day like this in spite of circumstances.

Well, tomorrow I head up to Chateau James for Christmas. I'll be gone for about a week and unless something truly, truly extraordinary happens you probably won't be hearing from me; I think it's probably rude to visit someone and spend exorbitant amounts of time on the internet.

How do you go about getting ready for Christmas? Shopping? Sewing? Baking Cookies? Sending Christmas cards? Writing a Christmas letter? Well, this year I've done all of the above and feel more behind than ever. It has snowed 5" and iced the roads to the mall and craft stores. The weather has changed our travel plans.

In light of my current physical state...no real blog tonight. Instead, enjoy pictures from my holiday party for work. Team FOT takes the prize! A good meal with a great view! Me and the shipmate I aspire to be (no joking). These smiles made it all worth it! Dino keeping everyone in line.
