Sunday Ratings: Desperate Housewives Has Welcome Return

Unfortunately, the show couldn’t fight off the Bears and Eagles alone. NBC - with the help of Sunday Night Football - was once again tops in both categories last night.

Sunday’s Numbers [09.28.2008]

The big winner was NBC, whose Sunday Night Football made the Peacock winner of the night both in total viewers (14.23 million) and on the demo (5.6).

Sunday Ratings: Emmys Reach New Low

Yesterday’s telecast - which was pitted against a football game - received its smallest numbers to date. Meanwhile, NBC was once again on top with both the viewers and the demos.

Sunday Ratings: NBC Sacks the Competition

The Peacock network ran past the competition with both the viewers and the demos. 8pm Approximately 16.7 million watched the Bears defeat the Indianapolis Colts (6.4/16 in 18-49) on NBC.

Sunday Ratings: CBS and NBC Share the Spoils

Last night, Big Brother helped CBS with the viewers while a Nicolas Cage film boosted NBC in the demos. 8pm Big Brother 10 (5.8 million, 2.2/7 in 18-49) had the night’s best demos.

Sunday Ratings: CBS and FOX Both Win

Meanwhile, FOX - with help from Family Guy - was a winner in the demos. 8pm Big Brother 10 (6 million, 2.0/6 in 18-49) lured in 200,000 more. America’s Got Talent* (5.4 million, 1.6/4) was up slightly.

Congressmen propose ID checks for video game sales

Specifically, they want ID checks of teen buyers so games such as “Grand Theft Auto IV” don’t slip into the wrong hands.
