    Grounddog Day

    http://fit-for-nothing.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ grounddog-day.html

I stand corrected. I didn't take home a girl in heels last night at all. As L points out, the one I took home had flip-flops on. Must have swapped girls mid evening. It happens I suppose or perhaps L swapped her shoes to walk home.

Blow it up or shut up

Iran is refusing to halt it's uranium enrichment program. Knowing the history of those in charge of Iran, they intend to build nuclear weapons in order to change the power structure of the region. John Bolton: Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran! Preemptively!

    http://wordsandwar.com/ 2008/ 05/ 06/ john-bolton-bomb-bomb-bomb-iran-preemptive…

The problem with a preemptive strike is that, if successful, it eliminates the reason for launching it and the future unfolds just as if the danger never existed. This is a particularly difficult dilemma for the leader of a democratic state.

I am indebted to the National Secular Society's newsletter for the following information. After you have read it, please consider following the link to send an appeal to the Iranian authorities to stop the stoning of Zohreh and Azar Kabiti-niat.

Syria attends the Annapolis conference despite Iran’s objection

    http://meaddleeastpeace.blogspot.com/ 2007/ 12/ syria-attends-annapolis-conferen…

Surprisingly, Syria has decided to send its Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs as a representative to the US-sponsored Middle East peace conference in Annapolis, Maryland. The decision to participate was despite attacks from Teheran, which claimed that this will further isolate the country in the region.
