Some textbooks now come with online video lessons, but even if you are fortunate enough to have access, your Internet connection is probably slow and unreliable.

Messianic Arrogance?
http://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/ 2008/ 10/ 05/ messianic-arrogance/To his credit, Scott McLeod wonders if he demonstrates “messianic arrogance” similar to Hare Krishna’s in his advocacy of educational technology. http://www.teachforever.com/ 2008/ 10/ getting-student-feedback-october-2008.htm…I always seek feedback from my students on a fairly regular basis. The questions are geared towards figuring out what I can do better, as well as what the students themselves can improve. In short, I get a good idea of what's working or not working. I also get insight into the things I don't see from my perspective.

GOOD Sheets
http://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/ 2008/ 10/ 02/ good-sheets/I can’t quite figure out what an organization called GOOD is, but they put out well-designed and accessible graphics about currents issues called GOOD Sheets. One is entitled Coming To America and is about immigration. There are three others that are worth a look, too. Thanks to Simple Complexity for the tip.
