Be Hungry. Be Heard. Be the Kingdom.

One of the high school students edited our 30 Hour Famine video. I basically handed him the camera and said, “Have fun. I trust you and I am empowering you to capture what happens this weekend. Have at it. I will be of any assistance to you.” Seriously I am so lucky that I have students who love editing videos; AND they do a great job at what they do.

2 Fundraisers That Don’t Feel Like Fundraisers

2 Fundraisers That Don’t Feel Like Fundraisers Posted by elevationgeneration on May 15th, 2008 I was always told when in school getting trained for youth ministry that fundraising was the “necessary evil” that we all had to endure.  After all, it’s no fun constantly begging people to support

Youth Ministry Games: Toilet Paper Dodgeball

    http://jeremyzach.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ youth-ministry-games-toilet-paper…

Toilet Paper Dodgeball is a freaking hit. Thanks Life in Student Ministry! Supplies: 1) Many many rolls of toilet paper. My ratio is 5 rolls for every 10 students. 2) Indoor facility. 3) Tape to tape boundary and middle lines. 4) Referee whistle. International Rules of Toilet Paper Dodgeball: 1) If you hit someone they are out.

    Wednesday Night Mind Dump

    http://www.jeremyisaacs.org/ ?p=274

I wasn’t at the service last night. I was at home fighting a sinus infection, bronchitis, and a head cold. Through the power of antibiotics and vicodine I’m getting a little better. I heard the service went really well. Billy stepped in for me and pinch hit for week 2 of Hotline.

    *sigh* Revolution Recap

    http://bdutt.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ sigh-revolution-recap/

*sigh* Revolution Recap You know, it’s a whole lot easier to write a revolution recap after something like this, or this happens. Last night wasn’t one of those, though. Last night, right as Revolution was starting, 12 kids got up, and walked out the doors.

Lessons Learned From Drive (Part 3) and Wed. Night Stuff

    http://chadcottle.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ lessons-learned-from-drive-part-3…

This will probably be the last of my comments on Drive. And this comment may be more directed towards North Point than their Drive Conference. One of the things I love about North Point is their strategy. Everything they do has structure and vision behind it.

    As iron sharpens iron

    http://mattboone.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ as-iron-sharpens-iron/

As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. (Proverbs 27:17) There are over 31,000 verses in the Bible… how amazing is it that this verse has shown up in my life three times this week. So I pull up my devo on line (www.blackaby.com) and the when the screen pops up I immediately get goose bumps.

    Summer in New Jersey

    http://alainacronkright.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ summer-in-new-jersey/

I love cooking– especially for large numbers of people. I’ve never really learned how to cook for just one person. I am pretty sure I inherited this trait from my grandma– who always cooks enough food for “an army” (she seriously has a freezer full of extra food at all times. It is pretty amazing).
