I Hate Being Right All The Time

    http://dearbastards.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ i-hate-being-right-all-time.html

You may recall my ranting and raving about the driver's side mirror being yanked off my car yesterday, presumably by the asshole driving the large pick-up parked beside me. He was kind enough to leave a business card on the window, which I was happy to find, but I expressed my fear at the time that

South Terrebonne residents call Gustav the worst they've seen

    http://www.hurricane-katrina.org/ 2008/ 09/ south-terrebonn.html

For information about Gustav's damage in Terrebonne Parish click here. Yes, those of us in Baton Rouge concur. I've repeatedly said it in most of my most recent posts, but this raggedy low Cat 3 Gustav has wreaked more havoc here than the 7 other major hurricanes of contemporary storm history - Audrey, Hilda, Betsy, Camille, Andrew, Katrina, and Rita.

    OMG! WTF?!

    http://anotherdesertrat.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ omg-wtf.html

Why are Denise and Matt smiling? Because we're all still here. Suffering manageable damage, we feel amazingly lucky. Many of our neighbors were not so fortunate. So, what happened?! Severe winds reaching somewhere between 80 and 100 miles per hour coupled with driving rain, thunder, and lightning.

Dennis, Katrina and Rita - a diary as they happened

    http://www.theoildrum.com/ node/ 4474

One of the benefits of running this site as long as we have is that it can now act as a diary through which, should you wish, you can go back and see how the story unfolded for the three hurricanes that created so much devastation in 2005. We did not do a lot of reporting on Dennis which came to land in Florida on July 10th, 2005.
