It’s a very sad day. LeRoi Moore, the saxophone player from Dave Matthews Band, passed away yesterday at the young age of 46. He had been in an ATV accident in June and the complications from his injuries proved too much for Roi. The band decided not to cancel their performance at Staples Center last night and instead played in tribute and respect to their band mate.

On Monday my husband was given some last minute tickets to American Idol Live, the concert tour of the top 10 American Idol finalists. His company has a box at the Staples Center and the tickets were a reward for receiving an outstanding performance review. He called me at 5pm to tell me he had tickets for the 7pm show.

I had the good fortune to see the American Idols Tour 2008 last night at the Staples Center. I went with my roommate, and we spent the entire night acting like ridiculous 12-year-old girls. It was fabulous. I am going to attempt to recount my thoughts (with help from my twitter) from the concert.
