Need cd or iso of OECD 704-7076-10

    http://www.unix.com/ sun-solaris/ 65475-need-cd-iso-oecd-704-7076-10-a.html

I have been given the unfortunate task of loading Solaris 2.5.1 on some acquired E220R's (450 Mhz). Please don't ask why, old corporate app that they won't upgrade and is mission-critical. Anyway I found out to even load 2.5.1 11/97 (I have this), I need a CD that shipped with the E220R's called a Operating Environement Installation CD aka CD0.

    metastat command for Solaris

    http://life.firelace.com/ 2008/ 05/ metastat-command-for-solaris.php

The metastat command is very useful if you have meta devices and or what is known as a hot spare pool. This command basically shows the status of your meta device (basically, a software RAID, or volume) and lets you know if there is a need to do maintenance on any of the drives or what not.

    http://www.unix.com/ sun-solaris/ 65459-whether-upgradation-oracle-db-needs-upgr…

Currently we are using Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.4.0 in sun solaris 5.9 server. We wnt to upgrade the oracle database to 10.2g. My doubt is that " what are the implications of this database upgradation in sun solaris server" "whether we need to upgrade the sunsolaris 5.9 also"

    Remote Administration of VirtualBox

    http://good-for-nothing.org/ wp/ ?p=22

Remote Administration of VirtualBox I’ve started using VirtualBox on my home server, the idea being, I get the stability of Solaris 10 and ZFS as a base and I can run whatever applications I want in a VM on top of that. So, being able to administer this on the command line is extremely useful.

Solaris Expanding a File System on the Fly using SVM May 16, 2008 by sun4u By Joseph Gan A metadevice consists of one or more devices (slices). It can be expanded by adding slices. Then, it can be grown to fill a larger space while the file system is in use. However, not all UNIX file systems (UFS) can be expanded this way.
