I was incredibly fortunate to receive a free copy of Adobe Lightroom at the BlogHer conference this summer and I’ve been working my way through it ever since. Lightroom is similar to Photoshop but is more streamlined to work with only photographs. I thought I would show you some of the features I’ve learned how to use.

I know most of us have accounts, but many probably don’t know that Flickr has its own photo editing software!  It’s called Picnik, and it has both the free and a paid “pro version”.  I’ll be covering the free version here, since it does just about everything that you really need. Last night on our call with Sam Clark of The Authority Site Center, Sam pointed people in the direction of a free photo editing download which is very good. This software is practically on par with Photoshop as far as it’s capabilities according to Sam, and also far, far, superior to Gimp.

Because we all need all that extra stuff on our system when we bring it home from the store….right? Yeah. It seems as though Microsoft may actually be making a move in the right direction with this call.
