remote X Windows - how to setup?

So far I'm really loving it. I've also converted my son over to Linux and installed Zenwalk on his PC.

load a module for a particular devise

I have a webcam on video0 and when I load its module ov51x-jpeg and do lsmod I see that the module is used by videodev instead of video0. How can I load the module particularly for video0? Slackware 12.1 Thunderbird strangeness...

Then I copied my .thunderbird folder from a backed-up location to my new regular user home folder. I have (had) Thunderbird set up to share the profile on my Windows partition.

Slackware 12.1 and Touchscreen Magic Touch

The device is recognized by Slackware as /dev/usb/hiddev0. First I used the driver provided by KEYTEC, following their instructions for manual installation.

Disable HAL and dbus on server systems?

I am in the process of upgrading to slackware 12.1. From what I understand, the HAL and dbus services (which are enabled by default) are primarily intended for desktop systems.
