MadWorld Looks A Bloody Lot Like Sin City Last night, Sega and Platinum Games held a press event in San Francisco where they revealed some details about MadWorld, an action game coming to the Wii in the first quarter of 2009. The superviolent game allows you to control Jack, who appears to be some sort of giant, chainsaw-wielding maniac.

News out of Cannes is that directors Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man) and David Lynch (Mulholland Drive) are teaming for “My Son, My Son,” a horror-murder drama based on a true story (and who better to do it than these two?).

Why do we get the feeling Werner Herzog arrived in Cannes early, hit the open bar and woke up in an alley 17 hours later with a splitting headache and a pocketful of deal memos scrawled on cocktail napkins? Apparently he’s a guy who just can’t say no, but whatever the case, he’s definitely been a busy bee.

Mena Suvari and Matthew Modine have signed to star in the Lifetime Original Movie “Sex & Lies in Sin City,” the U.S. network said Wednesday. The movie is based on the book “Murder in Sin City” by Jeff German — inspired by the true story of the death of wealthy Las Vegas casino heir Ted Binion and the ensuing trial of his lover and her con artist boyfriend.
