http://b9web.com/ ?p=28The Southeast Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (Setpa) gets my vote for the best designed public transportation system in a major American urban area. I’ve used the buses, trains, and subways in Boston, New York, and Washington, but they can’t compare with Philly. Septa includes regional rail,

Septa’s New “Weekend” Regional Rail Tickets are Not Really a Discount
http://jnachod.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ septas-new-weekend-regional-rail-tic…Yesterday, Septa announced a new promotional fare for travel on its regional rail trains on weekends and major holidays. It’s not really as much of a savings as one might expect. Septa trains are broken up into a system of 6 zones - higher zones require a higher fare.

Wanna know where the buses run?
http://philadelphia.metblogs.com/ 2008/ 04/ 10/ wanna-know-where-the-buses-run/Most people that commute on SEPTA—even if they like the service, even if they defend SEPTA every step of the way—know that its website is a joke. Inga to Hillary and Obama: Regarding Cities (I.E. What Should Be Your Forte), You Guys Are Toothless And Your Rhetoric Is Total Bollocks
http://theilladelph.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 04/ inga-to-hillary-and-obama-regarding.…Inga weighed in on the presidential campaign last week and, not surprisingly, she nailed it. It's a must-read: There are three times as many urbanites in America as country folk, yet you wouldn't know it listening to the three main presidential candidates, or perusing their Web sites.

Philadelphia: the place that kicks your ass
http://www.iamspencer.com/ 2008/ 04/ 03/ philadelphia_kicks_your_ass/Apparently another attack took place in the SEPTA terminal near where a man was beaten to death last week. This woman was lucky, and survived her attack. The SEPTA police was able to catch 5 of the 10 thugs by stopping the subway train at the next stop and capturing them there where the woman identified her attackers.

SEPTA Uses Only The Finest Materials
http://willdo.philadelphiaweekly.com/ archives/ 2008/ 03/ septa_uses_only.htmlSEPTA Watch has posted an innovative way SEPTA is now displaying its schedules inside its stations. Good job, guys! Maybe with the money we saved on proper schedule posters, we can build that trolley down Delaware Avenue. Is there nothing that duct tape can't fix? [SEPTA Watch]
