It’s a fact: People will only buy from you, if they believe that the value of your product or service (herein called a service), is significantly higher than its cost to them.  If they believe they can get better value (or a better deal) elsewhere, they will go and spend their money somewhere else.

You may remember when we reported that analysts were expecting the gaming industry to have huge sales this holiday, specifically Guitar Hero, despite this economic crisis plaguing the U.S. Turns out they were right (duh). Not only has the gaming industry not fallen into a slump, but it has in fact increased a whopping 18% in fourth-quarter sales compared to last year.

The Issue:  California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his pan to deal with the now projected to be almost $12 Billion budget gap that exists in the current operating budget for the state.  His plan includes a sales tax increase and a furlough that would require all state employees to take 1 day a month off without leave for the next year and a half.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has called a special session of the State Legislature and indicated that he’s open to a California State sales tax increase of 1.5%. This increase would make the sales tax in some counties over 10%. I don’t know about you, but I for one am not ready to pay a dime more at this time.

  It’s 8:30 a.m. and you’ve spent the morning crafting the perfect e-mail to announce your brand new clothing line for dogs.  You click “send” and wait for a response from the business editor at The New York Times. Now, it’s noon and still no response from the editor. You call and get voice mail so you leave a message.
