Google - Saint Petersburg Offices November 14th, 2008 by Stephen Well, this is our first trip to Saint Petersburg that I can remember, so we will make the best of it. Google always has outrageously decorated offices with lots of space. This one is no different.

A quiet day on Nevsky Prospect

    http://www.krisatomic.com/ blog/ ?p=237

I just remembered that there are lots of photos from Russia that I never posted, so here are a few more. Nevsky Prospect is one of Russia’s most famous streets and St Petersburg’s main thoroughfare. On our last day, the road was closed for resurfacing and open only to pedestrians.

Margaret enjoyed the combination! We went to see the folklore evening, singing and dancing in a brand new theatre in the hotel. A cast of about 50! It was magnificent! Missed my dinner! My watch was somehow 1 hour slow and we turned up too late! We somehow survived.

Zenit: Next stop, Champions League glory

    http://www.footballingworld.com/ 2008/ 08/ 30/ zenit-next-stop-champions-league-…

    1. Offside? Surely not… Nothing was made of this at the time, nor in the ensuing match reports and even Arsene Wenger wasn’t alert enough to pick up that Fulham’s goal against Arsenal - Brande Hangelaand’s close-range effort - should not have stood.

    Yet more delicious food

This time the photos are from a completely normal bog-standard Russian supermarket, where actual real Russians shop, so no-one can accuse me of inaccurately portraying the lives of ordinary citizens or whatever. The animal biscuits and condensed milk below were my absolute favourite things when I was little.
