Toll Brothers - New Home Expo in Greater Phoenix AZ

    http://wexzilla.com/ toll-brothers-new-home-expo-in-greater-phoenix-az/

Phoenix AZ real estate is made up of new home developments that sprouted up during the real estate ‘gold rush’ of 2001-2005. In fact, I would argue that Phoenix AZ real estate leads the country in the number of new home builders who have come here to develop land.  As a result, the choice between resale and new home construction is difficult.

    Carson Mell: Saguaro

    http://evilmonito.com/ 2008/ 11/ 14/ carson-mell-saguaro/

CLICK HERE : My good friend, Carson Mell is heard here reading an excerpt from his illustrated novella, Saguaro . A highly entertaining read that chronicles the life of Bobby Allen Bird, a weathered, middle-aged man left in the lurch at the height of his rock star youth, pondering 30 years later what to do with the rest his life .

    The Crested Sagauro Cactus

    http://www.tucsonazrealestateblog.com/ tucson-living/ the-crested-sagauro-cactus…

Pima Canyon Crested Saguaro One of the interesting anomalies here in the Desert Southwest are the Crested Saguaro Cactus. They are considered rare. Instead of the typical rounded point at the top these have a crest or crown at the top. Some of them will have crests at the ends of some of the arms as well.

    http://socialcapital.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 09/ 22/ 2008-civic-health-index-sustai…

The National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC) today released their 2008 civic report called “America’s Civic Health Index: Beyond the Vote”. [True confessions: the Saguaro Seminar was a co-advisor to NCoC on the report, together with CIRCLE.] The report focuses on the encouraging uptick in youth civic engagement and strategies for sustaining this engagement beyond Election Day.

Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor has an Op-Ed in the Christian Science Monitor sounding a theme very simpatico with the Saguaro Seminar’s concerns: the strange disappearance of civics courses.

    I know a place

    http://thursdaydrive.com/ 2008/ 09/ 02/ i-know-a-place/

It was a perfect moment, one that I would have missed five minutes later. A lake in the mountains. An empty beach. The water still but for where it simmered with fish far from shore. The mountains reflected on the surface. I drove up and parked just in time to see a blue heron stepping through the water near shore.
