Obama is not feeling the sagging pants look and reports that he does not want to see anyone's underwear. By the same token he also feels passing a law to ban the look would not be the appropriate thing to do. In a statement to Style Spotter Obama was quoted as saying:"Here is my attitude: I think people passing a law against people wearing sagging pants is a waste of time.

Apparently a judge in Florida has deemed the law against sad souls traipsing around American cities in baggy pants is unconstitutional.  Don’t get me wrong, it is unconstitutional; but couldn’t we just classify this one under indecent exposure? From what the Wikipedia article supplies as its explanation it would fit right in.

Just kidding, I’m sure there’s probably several violent offenders with arrest warrants roaming Riviera Beach. But, dear residents, fear not, for your police department is protecting you from anyone that is showing between 2 to 5 inches of their underwear by sagging their pants.

Saggers unite: The ACLU wants to talk to you about possibly being part of the first lawsuit of its kind nationally. Flint Police Chief David Dicks has said he will not back down from his policy of filing disorderly conduct or indecent exposure charges against those whose saggy pants allow too much underwear or their bottoms to show on city streets (see diagram, above).

According to the Associated Press, Village leaders in south Chicago’s suburb, Lynwood, have already approved an ordinance levying fines up to $25 against people showing at least three inches or more of their underwear.

The urban style known as “sagging” is now a criminal offense in many cities across the nation. In certain areas of Atlanta and in several small southern towns,”pull up your pants” laws are being enforced and violators face up to 60 days in jail.
