Over 677,000 IKEA and Green Mountain Vista window blinds are being recalled nationwide, because their cords may pose a strangulation risk to young children. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that at least one infant death and one serious injury have been linked to the recalled blinds.

No doubt that last year was the year of the “toy recall.”  Everywhere you looked there was another toy being recalled for one reason or another, but one of the big offenders was lead.  It was really overwhelming for just about every parent you talked to.   When was the madness going to end?

Not to seem xenophobic or anything, but it seems fair to assume that the more incoherent a toy's packaging is, the more likely that toy is to end up on the US Consumer Product Safety Commission's Toy Hazard Recalls site.
