    A very positive story on the website of the SABC caught my eye. The good news is that although global tourism may have been hit hard following the financial meltdown, tourism in South Africa is still growing at a 6% rate. With a looming global recession, there is no doubt that times ahead will be even harder and its time to think of other ways to keep it afloat.

    16 November 2008 Fifty-five motorists were arrested in Mthatha on Sunday in a crackdown on drunken drivers, Eastern Cape police said. The operation began around midnight and ended at 07:00. During the operation 55 drivers were arrested for drunken driving and a shebeen owner was arrested for selling liquor without a licence, said spokesperson Muzikisi Fatyela.
