This early outing from Ruggero Deodato is quite frankly a bit of a mess, albeit a sporadically entertaining one. Inspired by the fumetti neri, especially Diabolik, the first problem is that we're pretty much in the dark about who our titular protagonist, hero and point of identification actually is.

There’s a very short list of films I’ve been meaning to see, yet am somewhat loathed to see. I do intend to see the films, but by their reputation alone, I find myself not looking forward to them at all.

Re-exploring the horror movies of the 70’s and 80’s has been the hip thing to do in recent years with everyone paying tribute to their favorite movies.  It’s astonishing to me that it has taken this long for someone to get the balls up to go back to one of horror’s most savage and notorious periods

Cannibal Holocaust (1980) Directed by Ruggero Deodato Starring Robert Kerman, Carl Gabriel Yorke I kept going back and forth on whether or not to post this one, but for the horror/gore fans, it just doesn’t get any better/worse. This is the sickest, most disturbing movie you will probably ever see.

Robert Kerman wonders who the real cannibals are...frankly, I have been wondering the same thing lately.

Sylvester Stallone’s RAMBO is the most entertaining, brutal, vicious, nihilistic and savagely bad-ass action film in almost 25 years. You would have to go back to the Italian cinema of the early eighties to find a more exhilarating and primal film than the one Stallone has delivered here.
